1. Audio Data and Transcription

Lectify uses tabCapture permissions to capture audio streams from the tab you designate.

• Processing: Audio is streamed directly to OpenAI's API (Whisper/GPT-4o).
• Retention: We do not store audio data or transcripts on our servers. Once processed, the data is returned to your browser and not retained by us.

2. API Keys

User-provided API keys are stored locally on your browser using Chrome's secure storage API. They are never sent to our servers.
